Alles wird es da einen großen Bruch erneut geben, der Versprechen, das glauben sie ja natürlich, nur kommt es darauf gar nicht mehr an. Ich finde es ist schon krass, dass wir in einem Land leben, wo der Staat 50 Prozent dessen, was ich verdiene, mir wegnimmt. Das ist Raubritter, ey, das ist Enteignung. Das hat mit einer vernünftigen Steuerpolitik nichts mehr zu tun. Wo ist das Thema Steuererleichterungen, warum leben wir in einem Land, wo man ohne Steuerberater gar nicht mehr die Sache handeln kann? Ich brauche ein einfaches Steuersystem, das mit dem Bierdeckel hat doch dieser Herr dazu gesagt ja und nichts mehr davon übrig. Wo bleibt das Thema Steuervereinfachung, wo bleibt das Thema, dass der Staat das Geld mit vollen Händen aus dem Fenster wirft? Es wird immer nur darüber geredet, was man mir noch wegnehmen kann, weil ich doch so starke Schultern habe. Dann werde ich wütend. Wo wird das Geld gestrichen, das rausgehauen wird für falsche Energiepolitik, für Entwicklungshilfe, die kein Mensch mehr braucht? Es gibt 1000 Sachen, wo wird entbürokratisiert, diese ganzen Ministerien hier in Berlin kann man in die Luft sprengen und damit eine Menge Geld sparen. Die ganze Schweinerei ist nicht auf dem Tisch heute, das ist doch wir reden hier über Kleinigkeiten, wir reden nicht über die Schweinerei im Ganzen.

The Cornish Smugglers’ Pubs Hiding More Than Beer

A schoolmaster who printed his own money. A shaft cut into rock that led nowhere anyone would confirm. A killing the coast tried, for a while, to forget.

This is the story of how a Cornish harbour learned to keep a secret better than any tunnel ever could.

In this episode, we begin at The Three Pilchards in Polperro, one of the old harbour pubs tied to Cornwall’s smuggling memory. But this is not simply a story about tunnels beneath pubs. It is a story about the hidden system behind the legends: cellars, coves, horses, ledgers, warehouses, pack routes, silence and money.

At the centre of the story is Zephaniah Job, a Polperro schoolmaster turned smugglers’ banker. His ledgers helped finance the trade, his money helped defend captured smugglers, and his locally printed banknotes survive as proof that Cornwall’s “free trade” was far more organised than a few barrels rolled up from the beach.

Further along the coast in Penzance, we examine the 2008 discovery beneath the Abbey Warehouse, where developers found tunnel shafts cut into the rock. We treat this find carefully, noting where the physical evidence ends and where local legend about the Admiral Benbow begins.

The episode also follows the story through Smugglers Cott in Looe, Jamaica Inn on Bodmin Moor, and Prussia Cove, where John Carter ran his trade with the precision of a merchant.

بحث عن الله بقلب صادق، فقادته العناية الإلهية إلى برية وادي النطرون، حيث بدأ رحلة توبة وجهاد غيّرت حياته بالكامل.
وعندما هاجم البربر الدير، رفض الهروب قائلًا:
«أنا أنتظر هذا اليوم منذ عدة سنين.»
فنال إكليل الشهادة، وبقي مثالًا حيًا لقوة التوبة وقدرتها على تغيير الإنسان مهما كان ماضيه.
