I made this song in about 1995 when I first got a dual CD DJ rig and was playing around with live syncing and looping the beat from the song "Friends" by Apollo Smile and Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson singing Ghost Riders in the Sky for VH1 Storytellers. Some sort of modulation from the onboard effects is being applied to the looped beat and because the vocals and guitar were synced to the beat it doesn't sound like either Johnny Cash or Willie Nelson singing.

I made the video by loading an old video of mine into the Recursion Studio 4k hardware video synthesizer on a USB stick. I then created a patch on the synth which incorporated my video but I would be lying if I said I completely understood how I got it to the point it is now at. There was definitely some trial and error involved. The original video can be found at this link and you'll see that it's hardly recognizable in the new video. The way you can tell it's this video is to watch all of the small (sometimes elongated) circles (aka ovals) and you'll notice that the number of them changes between 1 and 4 just like the dots in the original video.
