The Story Of Waylon Jennings takes you through the life and music of a country legend with live performances, riveting stories and multimedia. You'll hear the hits, including "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys," "Luckenbach, Texas," "Theme from The Dukes of Hazzard" and "Suspicious Minds," which he recorded with his wife Jessi Colter.

You'll also hear how he went from poverty to playing bass for Buddy Holly to becoming one of the most important artists in country music history. Over six decades he sold more than 40 million records and played to millions of fans around the world. He battled addiction, changed the music industry and carried dynamite on his bus.

From chart-topping anthems to whiskey-soaked confessions, this is the story of a man who refused to compromise. Waylon didn't bend the rules. He shattered them.
The show features Bill Hanson, vocalist for numerous touring acts including 15 years with Kidd Country, and Mariya Stokes, Country Music Alberta's two-time Horizon Female Artist of the Year.
