Tom Ghent is a Rhode Island born American singer, songwriter and guitarist. He has recorded and released four solo albums in his career. The first, the self-titled album came out in 1969 on Tetragrammaton Records. This was followed by 1971’s Yankee’s Rebel Son on Kapp/MCA Records and No Strings Attached in 1983 on his own Sutherland Records label. Tom’s fourth album, RETROFLECT, was also released on Sutherland Records in 2010. And then a DVD was released in 2015. Tom’s songs have been recorded by artists like Kris Kristofferson, Gene Watson, Bobby Bare, Rita Coolidge and many others. His classic song “Whiskey Whiskey” has been recorded by a long list of musicians. Over his career he has played many live shows and festivals as well as appearing on radio and TV. And my guest was inducted into The Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame in 2018.
