In 1970, Kris Kristofferson and Janis Joplin shared a passionate romance, and Kris introduced her to his song, Me and Bobby McGee. Without telling him, Janis recorded her own version. After her sudden death at age 27, Kris was invited to a studio where he heard her recording for the first time. Overcome with emotion, he broke down in tears. The song later became Janis’s only No. 1 hit, leaving behind a timeless tribute to their unforgettable connection.
