Country music legend Willie Nelson has officially endorsed Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico in Texas.

In a newly released video, Nelson describes getting to know Talarico and expresses his support for the candidate.

The endorsement comes alongside the launch of Rural Texans for Talarico, an initiative focused on rural healthcare, internet access, infrastructure, and data center development.

Talarico is running against Republican Ken Paxton in the November 2026 Senate election.

What role do celebrity endorsements play in major political races?
